Our Mission

Our goal is that you would be equipped to face any challenge and every obstacle through faith and knowledge of God and His word. That you would grow to trust Christ completely by developing a deeper understanding of who He is. That you would develop a strength and confidence to walk through life. That by teaching and equipping women to love their husbands and children, to honor God in all they do and to learn everything they can from His Word, they will grow up in him so they are no longer infants, but mature Godly women who reflect the likeness of Christ Jesus. Truth in Love Community -TLC- exists to speak truth in a loving way woman to woman. In Titus 2, the Bible tells us that the older woman is to teach the younger woman. God’s direction to us is that we are to mentor and help other women to have strong Godly marriages, to be stable, to be loving mothers and to be balanced models of holiness in the home. This is not an easy job so we have established TLC to be an outreach to offer support through biblical teaching and through relationships with a group of ladies who are seeking balance, strength and stability in their lives. We believe that balance, strength and stability comes from knowing God intimately through His word and through His Son Jesus.

About Us

TLC is led by a group of women that yearn to see God glorified by being obedient to His word.  We long to become the wives, mothers, and friends that God has called us to, but have struggled with exactly how to do so each day.  We started meeting as a small group that was intent on helping each other become equipped for the journey ahead of us.  Over the past several years our small group continued to grow.  We now meet every other week during the school year and host a women's retreat annually.  We are so excited to see God's transformation when we come to Him as a group of women seeking all that He has planned for our lives.

Leadership

Lisa Grisham
Lisa has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, for over 30 years. They are proud parents of 4 children and 5 grandchildren.  Lisa has been active in ministering to women as a bible studies' leader, mentor, and counselor to many women individually. She and her husband are certified facilitators of “Prepare and Enrich,” a premarital and marital counseling program in which they have had the privilege of ministering to many couples over the years. Through the years of mentoring and counseling, Lisa has discovered that although the circumstances of women's individual lives are vast, the answers to life’s problems always provide the same solutions: There is no issue God’s truth cannot solve. Lisa realized if she could gather all the women she counseled in a group and taught them biblical principles and truth, they could learn to walk in that truth and attain balanced lives and households. Lisa has now been leading the TLC group for 5 years and is excited to expand it to more women.

Lorie Kinman
Lorie has been married for almost 20 years to Jarrod, her high school love.  They have three children that span from elementary school through high school.  They have played an active role in leadership at their church, where Jarrod currently leads worship.  Lorie has worked in women's ministry for over eight years and has co-led TLC with Lisa for the last three.  She enjoys teaching and helping women grow, especially with their role as a wife.  She is a passionate teacher with a heart for digging deep into what God really intends for His children.

Lisa Sirard
Lisa has three beautiful girls with the love of her life, Ron.  After joining her first women's small group, Lisa became passionate about sharing God's Word to other women.  She learned that by placing God first in her life and being obedient to Him, she had found the missing link to her life as a mother and wife.  Her passion is for other women to know that God's way is the only way and when we choose to be obedient to Him our lives will become transformed.  Lisa has been co-leading at TLC for several years and has a joy and love for women that fills the room.

Whitney Bills
Whitney is a proud mama of three small boys!  Whitney and her hubby Justin have embarked on a journey to share with others their love for Jesus.  Whitney is passionate about the role God plays in the daily life of a mom and wife.  She loves the word of God and longs for other women to know His love the way she does.  Whitney has an important role at TLC as she leads other young wives and new moms. 

Whitney O'Reilly
Whitney is a newlywed to Matt and a new mama!  She has a love for Jesus that is contagious and she shares that love in leading worship.  She is excited to share God's vision as a new mom and wife to those who are on the same path as she.  Whitney brings so much love and joy to our TLC family.  She has a true servant's heart and is always eager to love on and pray with TLC's group of ladies.

What:

During the first half of our meeting, we will hear a teaching on Godly wisdom as it relates to our spiritual growth in many aspects of our life. We will then have a table discussion to share what we learned and help make it relevant to our individual lives.  Each table will have a leader to facilitate our discussion as well as offer support and prayer for the ladies.

Kids Care:

Whether you have a newborn or your kids are homeschooled, they will have a blast as they are cared for by our staff in a fun classroom well-suited for their active minds! While you take time to equip and enrich your mind in Christ, your kids will enjoy an inviting and comfortable setting that is safe and fun.

Childcare is free to all women that attend TLC, but we are thankful for any donation to help support the wonderful ladies that come to love on your kiddos.

Women's Retreat
March 10-12, 2017

At TLC we know that women are the last to get a break! It is for this reason and many more that we truly believe in providing an annual Women’s Retreat.  It is a time to get away to rejuvenate your body and spirit while growing in Christ.  Doing so with other women of like mind is so important to a healthy walk with Christ!

This year we will be going to Camp Pinerock in Prescott (camppinerock.org). We have reserved several cabins as well as a dorm just for our teen girls in 10th grade and up. 

This event is open to all women from all church and faith. Bring your sisters, moms, daughters and friends.  We have a few deluxe cabins with a more homey feeling, and all the niceness of a fully furnished cabin.  There are several standard cabins that are fun and newly renovated, but require you to bring your bedding.  Then there is the really cool dorm room for the teens. They will have their own space to have fun and make new friends.  

This year we will be staying for 2 nights
Deluxe Cabins are $160
Standard Cabins are $125
Teen Dorms are $120
Prices include the retreat, your room, and meals.  Some sleeping areas are bunk beds.
